THE EXCHANGE
Spring 2023
A WORD FROM OUR CEO, JACK GIBSON
Spring is around the corner and with it comes new beginnings and celebrations. In fact, two fan favorites return with all-new stories. MASTERPIECE’s final season of Sanditon will answer the question we have all been wondering: What’s next for our heroine, Charlotte Heywood? And Call the Midwife returns with more heartwarming and moving stories. Remember, you can watch episodes of your favorite shows on the PBS app with your AZPM Passport member benefit.
In March, we honor Women’s History Month with an eight-episode program, written by female filmmakers, that showcases French Queen Marie Antoinette. And in April, AZPM celebrates Earth Day with a series of programs that give you a broader view of our world.
Arizona Public Media is powered by your support. Your generosity throughout the year helps ensure that all Southern Arizonans have access to quality programming and resources. Thank you.
MASTERPIECE Is the Place to Be in 2023!
Sanditon
Kick off spring with a new season of Sanditon! Last season ended with romance, drama, and exposed secrets, and the final chapter of the beloved show will bring more must-see episodes. The tale continues as Charlotte Heywood returns to the idyllic coastal resort of Sanditon with Georgiana Lambe by her side. Will they live happily ever after? Or are we in for an emotional rollercoaster full of lingering heartache?
Sanditon premieres Sunday, March 19, at 9 p.m. on PBS 6.
Tom Jones
MASTERPIECE fans will also be treated to a brand-new four-part miniseries based on Henry Fielding’s 1749 novel, The History of Tom Jones. The series follows the exploits of young Tom Jones as he navigates the trials and tribulations of discovering love. Set in 18th-century England, Tom Jones is a timeless tale of romance that resonates with today’s audiences as much as it did when the novel was first published.
Tom Jones premieres Sunday, April 30, at 9 p.m. on PBS 6.

Last season ended with an unexpected tragedy forcing the midwives to balance the needs of their patients with recovery from the chaos, and there will be no shortage of similar plot twists and surprises to come. Set in 1968, the upcoming chapter of this fan-favorite spotlights a rapidly changing society and the impacts that medical advancements and the politics of the time will have on Nonnatus House.

Suspense Returns with Before We Die

During the show’s six-part debut, Detective Hannah Laing worked to solve her lover’s murder and investigated the Mimica family. A shocking and dramatic final episode closed out the first chapter, leaving viewers anxiously wondering what would happen next.
Season 2 is filled with more edge-of-your-seat scenes. Follow along with Detective Laing as she continues to investigate ruthless crimes, all while juggling her own complicated personal life.

Go Beyond the History Books to Examine the Life of Marie Antoinette
This March, make sure you catch the premiere of Marie Antoinette, where writer Deborah Davis and star Emilia Schüle join forces to document the life of one of history’s most prominent heroines. Over the course of eight episodes, we explore the life of the French queen and are sure to learn much more than what the history books tell us.
Filmed in several different historical French locations, the show goes beyond society’s surface-level knowledge of Marie Antoinette’s life, aiming to provide insight into the ambition, courage, and tenacity that characterized her outside of the public eye.
Marie Antoinette premieres Sunday, March 19, at 10 p.m. on PBS 6. Watch this program live or stream anytime with the PBS app.
